Had a great night with great drinks and great service. I'd have no complaints if I hadn't been to last years event in London which was significantly better. The turnout was also a little underwhelming but only the cocktail lovers of Glasgow can be held responsible for that. David visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

Very good evening lots of good choice of cocktails at the bars. The micologists wete very knowledgable. We also enjoyed the complimentary whisky blending it was very informative. One thing i think could have improved the experience was a few more choices of things to eat. I have already recommend the event to my friends and i hope this comes to Glasgow again. I was extremely disappointed with the night's event, I purchased 3 tickets early on when this event was first advertised and the ticket was supposed to include a free cocktail and a cocktails in the city membership card which on the night no one knew anything about!! So basically I paid 12.50 for the pleasure of our first drink! Also it did not state anywhere that you had to buy tokens for drinks. We had our cocktail from the bar soba stall and then we decided to leave and not spend any further money on drinks after. We could have had cocktails in any bar in town the whole thing was a waste of money! Tracy visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

We had a great time and really enjoyed trying some different cocktails. It was great to be introduced to some new venues. We have already been to 'Kelvingrove Cafe' to have another 'Death on the Nile' . Will be back next year. Blair visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

The cocktails I tried were fab, especially Bar Soba Rhubarb. Venue lacked atmosphere and really weren't enough seats. I enjoy cocktails, unfortunately my partner doesn't , to fully enjoy the night one beer stand would have been useful visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

Hi. Thanks for a great night, really enjoyed it. Lovely to have so many different cocktails made so well by professionals in lovely surroundings. We loved the choice and the way it was all set out, and all the staff, without exception, were great. But if you don’t mind me adding - having attended a similar ‘Scottish event’ at the same venue a few weeks ago, with Gin and Vodka - we didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as your event- but they provided bottles of water, you could help yourself too, which I really think would have been nice last night. Also, a few more chair - and tables - if possible, would have been great and encouraged us to stay a little longer, but weary legs got the better of us before the overload of alcohol 😥. Finally, having thought about booking the Tipplebox class I wish we had as after speaking to some ladies who had attended it and seeing what was in the box we tried to book, but only the late class was available - had there been info on what was in the box I think I’d have booked it before going, so you might want to add that in your info. But the whole event was really good thanks - glad we went. Alison Alison visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

A thoroughly enjoyable night in Glasgow's Cocktails in the city. Enjoyable as the drinks served by very friendly and informative staff made it special. Not too fussed regarding the venue. Appeared sparse and a little cold. The lack of seating was a down point. Nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable standing when the ambience of cocktails is to sit and chat with friends while sampling the wonderful drinks on offer. I also attended the Edinburgh venue which had more of a buzz about it and more comfortable. So next year...and I shall attend, if thought could go into making the event more customer friendly with a slightly more ambient feel this would be the icing on the cake. Had a lovely night at Cocktails in the City. Atmosphere very good and enjoyed trying the cocktails. It was good to chat to others at our table and recommend our favourites to each other. Mine was the "Coconut Grenade " by Tiki Bar and Kitsch Inn. visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

Amazing evening. Each cocktail stand was manned by polite, well informed, welcoming staff and it was a pleasure to talk to them all. The atmosphere was so friendly and I was disappointed when the event drew to a close. Sandra visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

A good idea, we were able to try a variety of cocktails from different bars. Service was friendly and helpful. Venue was attractively decorated but suffered from a leaking roof. Unfortunately cocktails and entry were overpriced, £1 less per cocktail would lead have made all the difference visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

More seating would have been great, but it did push us to mingle more with other people. Great selection of cocktails and a brilliant experience. Scott visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

It was okay. The ticket wa a little bit expensive considering the drinks where £6.50. I thought we would have maybe gotten some deals or something from the bars at the event to encourage people to visit the bars at a later date. The drinks I tried where lovely and a little bit different from the norm. visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017

Good selection of cocktail stands- however very little seating for a large venue. There seemed to be a lot of wasted space. A lot of the cocktails were also partly premade and there was very little fresh ingredients in a lot of the long drinks. Should consider having more options for food and also not having the food at the entrance so that the venue does not smell all night long of things cooking. The food served was also very poor. Runny Mac and cheese for a fiver and I have no idea what the fitness kitchen was serving but my husbands burrito looked like an old wet cloth- the look confirmed the taste. I would suggest have a pre paid snack box to pick up on arrival. The tiplebox teaching session was a bit of a joke! Dark room, no microphone for the instructor to use so the music from outside was drowning him out most of the time. Poor room layout- too many people in the room- not very much of a demonstration- and the instructor wouldn't have been able to fit behind the table to give assistance even if you did need help. The whiskey tasting session and blending- I could not fault. Wonderful instruction, good size room and decoration for the event and not stingey in anyway with the tasters. I would give it a 9/10 Overall good idea but the execution was a bit off. Amie visited The Briggait on 25 Aug 2017
